What is Feudalism?

Feudalism is a social system that Europe was in. It included the social structure, like kings/lords at the top, nobles, knights, peasants, and lastly serfs. Serfs were slaves. They were not allowed to be free, not like peasants. Knights protected the land. We haven't learned about nobles yet. And the lords and kings were the one's in charge of the empire. In 1000 A.D. the rise of feudalism began.
